Personal Board -

What's the big idea?

What is a Personal Board, why you need one and who should you appoint to

advise you and help accelerate your goals?

Let's explore the concept of a Personal Board to help achieve your goals

What are your career goals? They could be:

  • the next promotion
  • securing a pay rise
  • navigating a career crossroads
  • starting your own business

In this Personal Board email series, I'll share the principles of a Personal Board of Advisors, practical tips and questions to ask yourself.

Who is in your diverse group of advisors?

It's important to reach out for varied perspectives and advice. I try to have people on my board from three key groups:

  1. Personal
  2. Industry
  3. Development e.g. C-suite exec coach

It's also valuable to have advisors who are more senior and junior to you, as well as those in parallel industries.

You can find more information on a Personal Board in chapter 1 of my book "The Personal Board of You Inc' available to buy here.
